Plan A Technologies is looking for an outstanding Power BI Architect/Principal, with experience in collaborating with business units to gather requirements, transforming data into actionable insights, and working with the Quality team to ensure requirements are achieved. This is a fast-paced job with room for significant career growth.

Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Engineer to be considered for this role.

Job Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power BI solutions.
2. Collaborate with business units to gather reporting and data analysis requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
3. Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet business needs.
4. Design and develop data models and transformations in Power BI to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
5. Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and work with the data team to resolve them.
6. Ensure scalability and performance of Power BI solutions.
7. Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI solutions to identify and resolve issues promptly.
8. Document technical specifications, data mappings, and solution designs for Power BI projects.
9. Partner with data engineers to develop and maintain data definitions, data lineage, and data cataloging using best practices.

Experience

1. 5-10 years of proven work experience with Power BI development.
2. Extensive experience architecting and implementing Power BI solutions, preferably with B2C experience.
3. Expertise in PowerBI Premium platform, including workspaces, deployment pipelines, dataset creation, and maintenance; data hub exploration, PowerBI Desktop, and Report Builder tools.
4. Proven experience in developing complex Power BI solutions.
5. Experience using Git (Azure DevOps) to manage Power BI datasets and reports.
6. Ability to diagnose issues and improve performance in semantic models and reports.
7. Experience with ALM Toolkit, Visual Studio, or Tabular Editor.
8. Strong understanding of DAX Studio and Power Query for data analysis.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and its integration with Power BI.
10. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, Python, and DBT is a plus.
11. Drive initiatives to successful completion with minimal supervision, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
12. Ability to mentor junior developers.
13. Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, developers, and leadership.
14. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
15. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
16. Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
17. Organized and analytical working style with good planning skills.
18. Initiative and motivation to excel.
