Job summary

ASSYST is seeking a Power BI Developer in Tallahassee, FL to design, build, secure, and operationalize analytic solutions using Power BI and Azure Synapse for the Department Enterprise Data Warehouse.

The role covers semantic modeling, report development, governance, performance tuning, and deployment lifecycle, with strict adherence to CJIS and HIPAA policies; collaboration with security and data governance teams is essential.

Qualifications

Five or more years in BI/analytics with enterprise Power BI experience.
Expert DAX, strong Power Query/M, and SQL across complex datasets.
Proven experience with RLS/OLS, governance, and secure data sharing in regulated environments.
Experience with Deployment Pipelines, Azure DevOps, and GCC tenant environments.
Collaborates effectively with data engineers, stewards, PMO, and InfoSec.

Responsibilities

Design star schema tabular models with facts, dimensions, hierarchies, and relationships.
Develop performant DAX measures, KPIs, and reusable templates for reporting.
Build accessible Power BI reports/dashboards with drill-through and parameterized views.
Implement data security and governance controls including RLS/OLS and lineage documentation.
Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD with DevOps across DEV/PROD environments.
