Job summary

BD in Summit, IN is seeking a motivated Business Analytics Engineer to join the Waters Advanced Diagnostics analytics team on onsite basis. You will design, develop, and maintain Power BI data models, dashboards, and reports to support integrated business analytics.

You will lead data modeling improvements, build semantic models, and develop Python-based automation pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related fields.
• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in a data analyst or analytics engineering role in a business environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI (data modeling, DAX, performance optimization techniques).
• Strong experience with building Power Apps and Power Automate flows.
• Strong expertise in Excel and Power Query.
• Proficiency in Python for data automation and scripting.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data-centric scripting languages.
• Strong understanding of data models, data structures, and data architecture principles.
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Working knowledge of GitHub or similar version control tools.
• Experience working with SharePoint for data storage and integration.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of cross-functional business processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI data models, dashboards, and reports for integrated business analytics
• Build and optimize semantic models with a focus on performance tuning and efficient DAX implementation
• Develop data collection tools using Power Apps and workflow automations using Power Automate and Python
• Design and implement Python-based data automation pipelines
• Perform ETL from SAP, SharePoint, and other enterprise systems or cloud storage
• Develop and deliver integrated analytics solutions leveraging team frameworks and reusable components
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical solutions
• Monitor and sustain existing solutions, troubleshoot issues, and enhance performance and usability
• Lead or collaborate on new development initiatives with short project cycles (1-2 months)
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and proper data governance across solutions
• Maintain clear documentation of datasets, models, and workflows
