Job summary

Brixmor Property Group seeks a BI Developer to design and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI reporting and semantic models for our Data Analytics team. You'll translate data from our Azure/Databricks platform into trusted dashboards, implement DAX measures, and uphold governance, performance, and change-management standards across the reporting stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field (CS, Data Science, Eng., Statistics, or similar).
• 3+ years of experience in BI, Analytics Engineering, or BI Development.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI: dashboards, paginated reports, DAX, semantic models.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and star schema design.
• Experience using Tabular Editor for model development.
• Familiarity with Git-based version control and Azure DevOps.
• Strong SQL skills and querying curated warehouse tables.
• Preferred: Databricks or Azure-based data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Power BI reporting & visualization: design dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
• Paginated reports for standardized and external reporting needs.
• Collaborate with users to translate requirements into performant solutions.
• Ensure reports follow format, performance, and governance standards.
• Develop semantic models using star schema and dimensional modeling.
• Create and document DAX measures for complex logic and KPIs.
• Manage calculated columns/tables/relationships and role-based logic.
• Use Tabular Editor to manage model metadata and calculations.
• Leverage Azure DevOps for project tracking and deployment coordination.
• Follow Git-based workflows including branches and pull requests.
• Own project lifecycle from intake to final sign-off.
