Minnesota IT Services is looking for a Power Apps Lead in St. Paul to transform the digital landscape within the department. This role involves designing and implementing scalable solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform, enhancing workflows, and replacing legacy applications.
The successful candidate will have at least five years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform, strong communication skills, and a focus on customer-oriented solutions. The position is full-time and eligible for hybrid telework for those living in Minnesota or neighboring states.

This position serves the Minnesota Department of Commerce, supporting energy and telecom regulation and permitting, bank and insurance regulation, and regulatory issues around Minnesota’s energy sector. The MNIT Commerce team also supports the Public Utilities Commission and Boards.
As the Power Apps Lead, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the department’s digital landscape by designing innovative, scalable, and secure solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform. You will refine business requirements, craft comprehensive solution designs, and guide the development of Power Apps to replace legacy Microsoft Access applications. By driving the development cycle and collaborating closely with stakeholders and developers, you will ensure that solutions align with strategic goals, enhance workflows, and integrate seamlessly with other systems to maximize efficiency and data usability.
This position is telework eligible for applicants who reside in Minnesota or a bordering state with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. If you live in a bordering state, you must be within 50 miles of the primary work location.
Position requires a minimum of five (5) years of IT related experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master’s degree for 18 months; a bachelor’s degree for 1 year; an associate’s degree for 6 months.
