Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Power HVAC Mechanic (Service Tech II) to maintain and repair diesel engines, HVAC equipment, and dehumidification/purification systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment. You will document service and occasionally travel to customer sites, demonstrating equipment and assisting with pickups and deliveries.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience repairing and maintaining diesel engines or HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic systems and schematics.
• Own the tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Responsible for service documentation and reporting.
• Occasional travel to customer sites.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers and assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts.
• Support other duties as needed.
