Job summary

Hentzen Coatings, Inc. is seeking a Powder Production Team Lead for a Sunday–Thursday 3rd shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) in Milwaukee, WI. The role focuses on safe, efficient powder production and leadership of the production team to meet quality and throughput targets.

The candidate will oversee procedures, coordinate with Quality Control, and ensure compliance with safety and process standards while maintaining equipment uptime and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in manufacturing, operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of one year of manufacturing experience preferred, including experience operating or learning production equipment such as extruders, mills, mixers, or related machinery.
• Previous experience providing team leadership, training, or work direction in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to production team members to promote safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for production team members in the absence of the Shift Supervisor.
• Monitor and audit production processes to ensure compliance with work instructions, setup procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Partner with the Quality Control Department to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product quality concerns.
• Support efficient production operations by maximizing equipment uptime and assisting with all aspects of the manufacturing process as needed.
• Read, interpret, and accurately follow batch ticket instructions and production specifications.
• Measure, weigh, and stage raw materials using scales and other equipment to ensure accurate batch preparation.
• Complete all required production records, batch documentation, and ERP system transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
