Job summary

Hyperion Materials & Technologies Inc. in West Branch, MI seeks a Process Engineer to support strategic and capital projects in the Sinter Operation. You will analyze production processes, implement improvements in methods, equipment and procedures to reduce cost, waste, and risk while improving yield and product quality.

You will partner with EHS and plant management, lead lean initiatives, develop KPIs, and ensure documentation and process controls meet safety, quality, and ISO requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and equivalent manufacturing experience considered.
• 3+ years in manufacturing or process engineering preferred; depth of expertise may adjust requirements.
• Experience in sintering, thermal processing, powder metallurgy or related processes strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support safety reviews with EHS and plant leadership.
• Lead strategic and Capex projects for the powder plant.
• Identify and implement process improvements to improve quality, yield, and efficiency.
• Develop and track key process indicators for operational stability.
• Provide process documentation and technical support for new product introductions.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods to sustain robust processes.
• Drive reduction of scrap and material waste and improve productivity.
