Job summary

Hyperion Materials & Technologies is seeking a Process Engineer to support the West Branch Sinter Operation. You will analyze production processes, implement improvements, and drive lean initiatives to reduce waste, improve yield and quality of tungsten carbide powder products.

The ideal candidate will work independently, solve technical problems, analyze data, and communicate findings across the organization while supporting safety and ISO standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
  • 3+ years in manufacturing or process engineering preferred.
  • Experience in sintering, thermal processing or powder metallurgy is preferred.
  • Experience applying Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve processes.
  • Strong data analysis and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze production processes and identify improvements to reduce cost and waste.
  • Lead lean initiatives and capital projects related to the powder plant.
  • Develop and track key process indicators for operational stability.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues affecting manufacturing performance.
  • Ensure processes comply with environmental, safety, and quality requirements.
