Job summary

FUJIFILM Biosciences in Irvine, CA is hiring a Powder Formulation Technician for the 3rd shift (9:00pm-5:30am). You will formulate powdered media, operate weighing equipment, and coordinate with SAP for materials in batch records.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1-2 years hands-on experience, knowledge of cGMPs, and English communication skills. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k; base hourly pay ranges $20.24–$26.28.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of metric system.
• Good understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
• Background in medical devices, diagnostics, food/vitamin processing, or pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

• Formulates Powder media formulas per manufacturing protocols utilizing weighing equipment such as scales and balance.
• Uses Mettler-Toledo IND780 terminal system with SAP ERP to ensure correct batch materials and quantities.
• Suggest changes in departmental procedures and processes (SOPs) as needed.
• Performs and documents line clearance at the start of each formulation event.
• Maintains logs and documentation.
• Ensures chemicals are stored and labeled properly.
• Performs process scale checks on required equipment including scales and balances.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean and organized.
• Ensures supplies are stocked and orders are placed when needed.
• Follows safety procedures and uses PPE.
• Understands chemical handling procedures and metric conversions.
• Participates in sustaining the 6S program.
