Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc (West Bend) seeks a Powder Painter to apply powder paint on production parts on 1st or 2nd shift. Requires powder application experience and strong teamwork. Must maintain clean, dust-free work area and assist in related paint processes as needed.

The role includes troubleshooting, color changes, and potential Tech 3 duties. 2nd shift includes a $2.50 shift premium. Excellent communication and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Aptitude to take and execute orders efficiently.
• Knowledge of basic print reading and torque values.
• Two years of powder application experience unless promoted within department.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Able to assist in all areas of the paint department when needed.

Responsibilities

• Apply powder with manual powder gun application.
• Troubleshoot powder application issues.
• Clean powder equipment for color changes.
• Perform color changes on automatic powder application equipment.
• Follow instructions from powder room coordinator for specific parts.
• Advance skills throughout the powder application process.
• Maintain good housekeeping and organize the work area; keep room dust-free.
• May perform Tech 3 tasks as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the line.
• Report issues affecting quality or efficiency.
• Mark product with defects to prevent customer impact.
• Work overtime to support demand and maintenance needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
