Job summary

Hamilton by Gunnebo is seeking a Powder Coat Paint Specialist to prepare, coat and finish metal components using powder coating systems to ensure durable, high-quality finishes. You will operate equipment, monitor process parameters and assist with improvements in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to maintain production efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years powder coating/industrial painting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read work instructions, drawings and product specifications.
• Experience using mil thickness gauges and basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal parts for powder coating including cleaning, masking, blasting and pretreatment.
• Operate powder coating equipment, spray guns and curing ovens.
• Apply powder coatings per color, thickness, and quality specs.
• Inspect coated parts for defects, adhesion and finish quality.
• Verify coating thickness using measuring equipment.
• Maintain production records and inventory usage logs.
• Follow safety policies and environmental requirements.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
