Job summary

Edwards Unlimited Inc in Henderson, NC, seeks skilled finishing workers for surface prep, coating, curing, and quality control in a full-time role. You will prep surfaces, manage electrostatic powder coating, and ensure proper curing schedules while maintaining documentation and a clean production area.

The position requires reading instructions, lifting up to 50 lbs, and wearing PPE. Training and growth into lead finisher or fabrication roles are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Able to read a job traveler, tape measure, and written work instruction.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, standing for a full shift, and working in a hot shop environment near ovens.
• Willing to wear required PPE at all times, including respiratory protection.
• Dependable attendance and a clean, methodical work habit.

Responsibilities

• Surface prep including blasting, grinding, and cleaning of carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum parts.
• Coating: operate electrostatic powder equipment, set up and complete color changes.
• Cure: manage dwell, log PMT and dwell time, follow exact product code and current TDS.
• Quality and housekeeping: inspect for defects and maintain records and clean workspace.
