Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in Covington, GA is seeking an operator to set up, run and maintain powder coating manufacturing equipment, ensuring products meet customer specs while keeping a safe, clean, and productive environment.

You will perform manufacturing tasks, monitor materials, log production data, and collaborate with other departments to complete orders on time; forklift operation and packaging equipment experience preferred; bonus eligibility applies.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution facilities is preferred.
• Ability to monitor gauges, dials, or machinery indicators for proper operation.
• Experience operating machinery in manufacturing environments.
• Experience monitoring the quality of raw materials and finished goods.
• Experience using packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers or labelers.
• Experience with material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.).
• Experience mixing or blending raw materials in an industrial batch process.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, monitor, operate, and clean automatic and semi-automatic equipment safely.
• Perform assigned manufacturing tasks.
• Monitor raw materials and finished goods for quality.
• Comply with policies and standard operating procedures.
• Keep equipment logs, perform minor repairs, and report breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain production records and reporting as required.
• Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders on time.
• Safely operate forklift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of parts and supplies.
• Provide technical support and training to other team members.
• Contribute ideas to improve or optimize manufacturing procedures.
• Keep tools and work environment clean and organized daily.
