Job summary

APX is seeking a reliable Powder Coating Technician to join our Greencastle production team. This role focuses on preparing and coating aluminum parts using an electrostatic powder process, with opportunities to contribute across the paint line to maintain smooth workflow.

You will operate spray guns and curing ovens, perform quality checks, and collaborate with supervision to resolve coating issues. The job demands attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to stand for long periods and

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in powder coating (preferred).
Experience with aluminum parts is a plus.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate electrostatic powder spray guns and related equipment to apply coatings.
Ensure a uniform finish meeting product quality standards.
Visually inspect coated parts for complete coverage and finish quality.
Operate and maintain the wash bay system to prepare parts for coating.
Use cure and dry ovens as part of the finishing process.
Test finishes and address coating or quality concerns with supervisor.
Identify defective products and determine corrective actions.
Assist with cleaning and general maintenance of equipment and area.
Cross-train in other production departments and assist forklift operations.
Perform additional duties in support of the powder coating and finishing process.
