Job summary

Weber Specialties Company is seeking a Powder Coating Operator to prepare and apply protective coatings on manufactured parts at our Michigan facility. You will select appropriate powder, operate and maintain coating equipment, and ensure quality results in line with production schedules.

The role requires basic math, ability to read simple instructions, and adherence to safety procedures. Candidates may work overtime or weekends as needed and will participate in a team-focused manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read simple words and recognize numbers.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Selects powder coating for job.
• Maintains powder coating equipment (guns, booth, storage).
• Understands powder gun operations and settings for quality parts.
• Understands line components (wash tanks, conveyors, ovens).
• Handles loading/unloading duties as needed.
• Completes all work documentation accurately.
• May work in other areas as production requires.
• May work off shifts as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.
