Job summary

Swenson Spreader, LLC, an Aebi Schmidt brand located in Lindenwood, IL, just 15 minutes south of Rockford, IL, is seeking a Prep and Paint Finisher to apply powder and wet paints, execute stainless steel treatments, and ensure top-quality finishes. This role involves surface prep, coating, and proper record-keeping in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or chemical metal prep preferred.
• Ability to read work orders, interpret finish specs, and inspect finished parts.
• Comfortable working around chemicals and in paint booths.
• Must be detail-oriented and quality-focused.

Responsibilities

• Prep and paint parts using powder or wet paint systems based on job requirements.
• Perform acid wash and de-bluing on stainless steel components.
• Mask, clean, and prep surfaces before coating or treatment.
• Inspect parts for defects, coating quality, and finish consistency.
• Mix paints and chemicals accurately and safely.
• Operate and maintain paint booths, ovens, and related equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and environmental procedures.
• Keep accurate records of jobs completed, paint usage, and materials.
