Job summary

Swenson Spreader, LLC, an Aebi Schmidt brand, in Lindenwood, IL, seeks a 2nd Shift Prep and Paint Finisher to apply powder and wet paints, perform stainless steel prep, and ensure coating quality. You will prep surfaces, mix paints, and operate booths and ovens in a fast-paced shop.

This role requires experience in industrial painting, ability to read finish specs, attention to detail, and willingness to work in hot or ventilated environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or chemical metal prep preferred.
• Knowledge of coating types, surface prep, and finishing techniques.
• Comfortable working around chemicals and in paint booths.
• Ability to read work orders, interpret finish specs, and inspect finished parts.
• Must be detail-oriented and quality-focused.

Responsibilities

• Prep and paint parts using powder or wet paint systems based on job requirements.
• Perform acid wash and de-bluing on stainless steel components.
• Mask, clean, and prep surfaces before coating or treatment.
• Inspect parts for defects, coating quality, and finish consistency.
• Mix paints and chemicals accurately and safely.
• Operate and maintain paint booths, ovens, and related equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and environmental procedures.
• Keep accurate records of jobs completed, paint usage, and materials.
