Origin Acoustics is seeking a skilled Powder Coater / Painter to join our production team in Las Vegas, NV. This full-time role prepares, coats, paints, and finishes metal components used in premium architectural audio products.

You will operate powder coating equipment, spray guns, curing ovens, and must maintain quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in powder coating, industrial painting, metal finishing, or related field.
• Experience operating spray equipment, powder coating systems, and curing ovens.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal components for powder coating and painting, including cleaning and masking.
• Apply powder coating and paint finishes per specifications.
• Operate powder coating equipment, spray guns, and curing ovens.
• Inspect finished parts for appearance, adhesion, and coverage.
• Maintain inventory of paints and powders and support production as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work area clean and organized.

Job Type:Full-Time

Schedule:Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay:$20.00 – $23.00 per hour

Position Summary

Origin Acoustics is seeking a skilled and detail-orientedPowder Coater / Painterto join our production team at our headquarters in Las Vegas, NV. This position is responsible for preparing, coating, painting, and finishing metal and fabricated components used in custom audio and technology products.

The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, understands surface preparation and finishing techniques, and consistently produces high-quality work. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare metal, aluminum, steel, and fabricated components for powder coating and painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
• Apply powder coating and paint finishes according to company specifications and quality standards.
• Operate powder coating equipment, spray guns, curing ovens, and related finishing equipment.
• Inspect finished parts for appearance, consistency, adhesion, coverage, and overall quality.
• Perform touch-ups and corrective work as needed to ensure products meet quality expectations.
• Mix and prepare paints, coatings, and finishing materials according to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain inventory of paints, powders, supplies, and consumables.
• Assist with fabrication and production activities as needed to support workflow continuity.
• Follow all safety procedures related to paint, powder coating, ventilation systems, and hazardous materials handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and production processes.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure finished products meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in powder coating, industrial painting, automotive painting, metal finishing, or a related field.
• Experience operating spray equipment, powder coating systems, and curing ovens.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and finishing processes.
• Ability to identify and correct coating defects such as orange peel, fisheyes, runs, contamination, and inconsistent coverage.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to read work instructions, production documents, and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with custom manufacturing, fabrication, or architectural products.
• Familiarity with metal fabrication processes and shop equipment.
• Experience working in an ISO, lean manufacturing, or quality-focused environment.
• Basic welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
