Job summary

Origin Acoustics is seeking a skilled Powder Coater / Painter to join our Las Vegas production team. You will prepare, coat, paint, and finish metal components used in our premium audio products, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications.

The ideal candidate has strong surface prep knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Full-time, on-site position with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in powder coating, industrial painting, automotive painting, metal finishing, or a related field.
• Experience operating spray equipment, powder coating systems, and curing ovens.
• Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and finishing processes.
• Ability to identify and correct coating defects such as orange peel, fisheyes, runs, contamination, and inconsistent coverage.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to read work instructions, production documents, and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal, aluminum, steel, and fabricated components for powder coating and painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and surface preparation.
• Apply powder coating and paint finishes according to company specifications and quality standards.
• Operate powder coating equipment, spray guns, curing ovens, and related finishing equipment.
• Inspect finished parts for appearance, consistency, adhesion, coverage, and overall quality.
• Perform touch-ups and corrective work as needed to ensure products meet quality expectations.
• Mix and prepare paints, coatings, and finishing materials according to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain inventory of paints, powders, supplies, and consumables.
• Assist with fabrication and production activities as needed to support workflow continuity.
• Follow all safety procedures related to paint, powder coating, ventilation systems, and hazardous materials handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, efficiency, and production processes.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure finished products meet customer requirements.

This position is responsible for preparing, coating, painting, and finishing metal and fabricated components used in custom audio and technology products.

The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, understands surface preparation and finishing techniques, and consistently produces high-quality work. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Forklift certification is a plus.
