Ernest-Spencer, Inc. in Topeka, KS, is seeking an Industrial Painter (Powder) for the 2nd shift. You will read shop orders, prepare surfaces, mix pigments, and spray powder coating on workpieces with attention to thickness and finish quality.

The role requires regular inspection of painted parts, adherence to schedules, and participation in a clean and safe paint area. This is a full-time position with health, dental, 401k, paid time off, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Reads and follows shop orders and paint schedules to guide painting.
• Inspects surfaces to prepare for painting.
• Mixes premixed paints or pigments to match colors.
• Sprays work pieces uniformly and checks mill thickness and cured finishes.
• Tests painted parts to verify cure quality.
• Inspects parts for form and cosmetic quality.
• Counts parts for loading/unloading and pallet handling.
• Gathers knowledge of chemicals and wash system maintenance.
• Maintains paint area by cleaning booth and equipment.

Responsibilities
