Job summary

PowerBuilt Material Handling Solutions, LLC is seeking a Powder Coat & Fabrication Technician to hands-on coat fabricated parts and support fabrication and machining operations. The role offers growth in multiple manufacturing areas within a growing and innovative team.

In this position you will apply powder coating, prepare parts, maintain equipment, run quality checks, and assist across the shop. Candidates with experience in coatings or manufacturing and a willingness to learn are encouraged

• Prepare and clean parts prior to coating, including masking, sanding, and deburring.
• Maintain and troubleshoot powder coating equipment, including spray guns and curing ovens.
• Assist fabrication and machining teams with tasks such as saw cutting, cleaning weldments, part prep, and general shop support.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets specifications.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Position Summary

The Powder Coat & Fabrication Technician will play a hands‑on role in the production process, focusing primarily on powder coating while also supporting fabrication and machining operations. Responsibilities

• Apply powder coating to fabricated parts, ensuring consistent quality and finish.
• Prepare and clean parts prior to coating, including masking, sanding, and deburring.
• Maintain and troubleshoot powder coating equipment, including spray guns and curing ovens.
• Assist fabrication and machining teams with tasks such as saw cutting, cleaning weldments, part prep, and general shop support.
• Perform quality checks to ensure all work meets specifications.
• Support team members as needed across the fabrication department.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in powder coating, coatings/painting, or general manufacturing preferred (willing to train motivated candidates).
• Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions.
• Desire to learn and grow within the organization, with flexibility to support multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to maintain equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to be “on call” 1–2 weekends per month.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
