Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Powder Coat Tech in North Charleston, SC to support the production department by applying powder to steel parts and ensuring quality according to MIL thickness standards.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork with Quality and Safety, and adherence to safety policies. The position offers a 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM shift, Monday through Friday, with growth opportunities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret 2D prints and work instructions accurately.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a powder coating environment with manual spray applications.
• Proficiency with MIL thickness measurement instruments.
• Ability to operate oven controls and set parameters as per work instructions.
• Excellent verbal communication and strong time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and spray powder on steel parts according to specified colors and MIL thickness standards.
• Communicate effectively with production leads to ensure smooth workflow.
• Test parts for color consistency, cure, thickness, and other quality parameters.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety and environmental policies.
• Work collaboratively with Quality, Environmental, and Safety teams to ensure compliance with all standards.
