Job summary

Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on, seeks a skilled powder coat line operator to apply powder coat paint to parts and components, remove media after shot blasting, and hang items on the paint line.

You will inspect items for quality, remove debris with compressed air, and maintain the booth and equipment. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 45 lbs, and working overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Organizational skills, ensuring precision, orderliness and neatness and be detail oriented.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges and be a self starter.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and work extended hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds periodically.
• Must be able to work as a team player.
• Must align with Snap-on mission statement.
• Must wear PPE including Hi-Vis vest, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, PAPR and ear plugs.

Responsibilities

• Hang parts and components on paint line in a timely manner.
• Follow paint line schedule using a computer and mark items off when hung.
• Inspect items for quality defects (scratches, bad welds, etc).
• Remove shot-out debris with a compressed air gun.
• Apply powder coat paint using an electrostatic spray gun.
• Plug sheaves and threads on parts.
• Clean and maintain booth and powder coating equipment and surrounding areas.
• Perform assemblies on 2-post product before unloading.
• Unload components/parts and place them in designated areas.
• Use L2L to order parts as needed.
• Other duties as requested by Production Supervisor.
