Job summary

WEG Transformers USA is seeking a Powder Coat Painter for the 3rd shift in our Missouri facility. The role involves painting transformer tanks using powder coat systems, both automatic and manual.

You will set equipment, monitor humidity and temperature, and ensure safe and efficient operation on the production line. The position requires prior manufacturing experience, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and the physical capability to lift heavy parts.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating machinery.
• Able to work over-time as needed.
• Occasionally lifting objects weighing over 60 pounds, moving steel, pallets, etc.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend common vocabulary.
• Must be able to calculate basic math, including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Must be able to read, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, plans, layouts and/or templates.
• Resides within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington MO.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis; visa sponsorship is not available for these positions.
• Safety Sensitive Position: drug screen includes THC.

Responsibilities

• Perform powder coat painting in both automatic and manual sections of the paint system.
• Set and adjust atomizing, flow rate, correct voltage, feed hopper and powder pumps at the control consoles for both manual and automatic system.
• Keep system clean to insure efficiency and maximum safety.
• Load and unload parts on and off conveyor, start and set-up conveyor as required.
• Clean and replenish tanks with chemicals.
