Job summary

WEG Transformers USA in Missouri is seeking a Painter to support transformer production. You will organize and identify transformer components to be painted, set up paint equipment, and apply primer and finish coats while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires overtime as needed, current US work authorization, and a High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years of manufacturing experience is preferred, with a commitment to safe, efficient operations and adherence to company ethics.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Resides within a reasonable commuting distance; no relocation assistance.
  • Has current work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must complete talent assessment, interview, pre-employment drug screen, and background check.
  • Safety-sensitive position; drug panel includes THC.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and identify transformer components to be painted.
  • Set up and operate paint equipment and primer application.
  • Clean transformers and sub-assemblies prior to painting; maintain cleanliness.
  • Perform spray painting to complete the finish coat.
  • Complete quality checks and rework if required.
  • Move parts to/from paint booth using hoists and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain safety requirements at all times.

Pay: $24.14 to $25.65 plus $1.00/shift premium

Role: Painter

You will perform a range of tasks in the production of a transformer, including:

  • Organize and identify transformer and subcomponents to be painted.
  • Set-up and operate plural component or other paint equipment.
  • Clean transformers and sub-assemblies prior to painting through use of sander and cloth. Wipe off as needed with cleaner or alcohol.
  • Apply primer as required.
  • Perform spray painting to paint complete finish coat.
  • Complete quality check of final paint finish to meet manufacturing procedures and rework/repaint if required.
  • Move transformer and parts to and from paint booth using overhead hoist, pallet jack and fork-trucks.
  • Maintain all safety requirements.
