Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. in Beaver Dam, WI is seeking candidates for Painter I-III on 1st shift. Pay ranges from $21.00/hour for Painter I to $23.00/hour for Painter III.

Responsibilities include loading parts onto the paint line, hanging parts for coating, inspecting quality before and after finishing, and maintaining a safe, high-heat work environment. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and up to 2 years of experience for Painter I, with additional experience

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Able to pass a pulmonary function test to wear an air hood.
• 2 years of experience in a powder coat painting environment and able to pass a pulmonary function test.
• Demonstrated experience in root cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience effectively training other employees to work instructions/standard work.
• Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics).

Responsibilities

• Load, transfer, and unload parts on and/or from paint line.
• Process each part by hanging/racking to paint application.
• Inspect quality of parts before and after finishing process.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and wear PPE.
• Perform painting in paint booth and ensure proper paint coverage.
• Support cross-training across products/areas as needed.
• Provide training to new employees on instructions/standard work.
