You will work under the Plant Manager's supervision to perform coatings with electrostatic and non-electrostatic processes while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role requires physical strength, dexterity and good verbal communication, with the ability to move heavy parts, operate machinery, and follow safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

  • Move parts and materials around the facility as needed.
  • Apply coatings using electrostatic and non-electrostatic processes.
  • Maintain chemicals in the wash tank.
  • Operate thinner recycler.
  • Move, hang, and remove materials using hoists, cranes, or other methods.
  • Perform minor maintenance on painting equipment.
  • Notify manager of inventory needs.
  • Follow all safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

General Summary:

This position is responsible for the safe completion of work in the most efficient manner in their area of responsibility. This position performs the duties of a painter in the completion of an assignment under the authority of the area Plant Manager. The painter will be responsible for painting a variety of industrial surfaces, including equipment, machinery, walls, floors, ceilings, and other structures.

Essential Functions:
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about the facility to retrieve parts and other tasks
  • Apply coatings using electrostatic and non-electrostatic processes
  • Maintains chemicals in the wash tank
  • Operates thinner recycler
  • Move, hang, and remove materials as needed to using hoists, cranes, or other available methods
  • Performs minor maintenance of painting equipment
  • Notify manager of inventory needs
  • Follow all safety regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Expectations:

You will be expected to obtain the tools listed as “Minimum Required Tools” for your classification. Regular attendance and starting on time are essential. Responsible for the quality of own work and not to accept poor quality workmanship from others. Controls the preparation for and application of paint. Expected to perform at acceptable safety, quality and performance levels and strive for continuous improvement as described in Full Vision’s Quality Policy.

QualificationsPhysical Requirements:
  • Moves parts weighing up to 80 pounds
  • Frequently moves up to 50-pound parts overhead
  • Exposure to noise – continuously
  • Lifting/carrying/moving up to 50 pounds
  • Standing, Twisting, Walking – frequently
  • Hand/Eye coordination – frequently
  • Continuous standing and walking on concrete surfaces
