Job summary

Ameritex is seeking a Powder Coat Helper Level 2 – Line Apprentice to join the finishing team in Conroe, TX. You will assist on the powder coat line, help with racking, masking, and quality inspections to ensure proper coating workflows.

We value hustle and initiative; advancement opportunities include moving into a Powder Coat Operator role after training milestones. The role requires lifting 50+ lbs and strict PPE adherence.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn finishing processes.
• Ability to perform visual inspections with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with masking materials and hand tools.
• Reliable team player with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist powder coat operators with racking and line setup.
• Mask and prep parts before coating.
• Inspect coated parts for coverage, defects, and quality standards.
• Assist with touch-up and rework under direction.
• Help maintain powder inventory and staging areas.
• Support packaging and movement of finished parts.
• Follow all safety rules, including PPE, and lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.
