Standard Iron in Thomson, GA is seeking a dependable Powder Coat Paint Lead to supervise the Powder Coat Paint Department, ensuring safe, efficient production and high-quality finishes.

You will train and direct team members, troubleshoot coating processes, and collaborate with supervisors to meet production goals while promoting safety and continuous improvement.

Weekend shift offers a 3-day work week, with a Friday-Sunday schedule and a $1,000 hiring bonus paid in the first year.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of powder coating or industrial painting experience with leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of powder coating processes and equipment.
• Experience handling metal components in manufacturing settings.
• Ability to read blueprints and production specs, identify finish-quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support employees within the Powder Coat Paint Department.
• Provide direction and assign daily work to meet production goals.
• Train employees on powder coating, equipment, quality standards, and safety.
• Monitor production flow and communicate priorities and delays to leadership.
• Inspect finished products for coverage, color, texture, adhesion and quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot coating and production issues.
• Assist with setup and operation of coating equipment (guns, booths, ovens).
• Ensure preparation, masking, hanging, coating, and curing of metal parts.
• Monitor paint/material usage and minimize waste.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment; enforce safety policies.
