Job summary

Standard Iron is seeking a dependable Powder Coat Painter to join its production team in Grand Island, NE. You will prepare parts, apply powder finishes, inspect results, and ensure processes meet customer specifications with a focus on quality and safety.

Second shift duties include a 4-day work week with a 12:00 PM–10:30 PM schedule and a $3.00/hour shift differential plus a $1,000 hiring bonus paid over the first year. Prior powder coating or industrial painting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with powder coating or industrial painting is preferred.
• Knowledge of surface prep and coating application techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and production docs.
• Strong attention to quality and detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Ability to lift and move parts up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for coating: cleaning, masking, sanding, and racking.
• Apply powder coating with manual or automated spray systems.
• Monitor thickness, coverage, and finish to specs.
• Perform color changes and manage powder inventory.
• Operate curing ovens and verify cure times and temperatures.
• Inspect finished parts and perform touch-ups as needed.
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE use.

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Powder Coat Painter to join our production team. In this role, you will prepare, apply, and inspect powder coat finishes on metal components to ensure high-quality, durable results that meet customer specifications. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in craftsmanship while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Range: $20.00-28.00per hour (Starting rate commensurate with experience)

$1,000 Hiring Bonus paid over your first year of employment

Second Shift

• Monday-Thursday
• 12:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 4-Day Work Week

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for coating, including cleaning, masking, sanding, and racking.
