Job summary

Sinomax USA, Inc. is seeking an entry level Pour Line Operator to join our production team in Tennessee. The role offers on-the-job training with a clear path for growth as you gain experience on the pour line and related processes.

You will perform visual inspections, monitor gauges, handle film changes, and assist with line cleanup. You will work both independently and as part of a team, communicating with the Pour Line Manager and other production staff to meet quality quotas while adhering

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Language: Strong communication and English literacy are essential.
  • Math: Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) are required.
  • Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense to instructions and to problem solve.

  • Coordinate and implement directives for Pour Line Production in a positive, professional manner.
  • Safely load, unload, and transfer chemicals from totes and drums to holding tanks.
  • Monitor valves, gauges, and pumps to ensure proper operation.

Sinomax is currently hiring for a Pour Line Operator (Entry Level). *This is an entry level position. Sinomax will train the right individual. There is substantial opportunity for growth with this position*

Reports directly: Pour Line Manager


Summary

Perform various visual inspections, gauge monitoring, film changes and manual duties to ensure proper processing of foam production to meet production quality and quotas. Responsible for machine and pour line area cleanup. Must be willing to work on a team, also work independently. Communicate with Pour Line Manager and Pour Line production workers in a cooperative and positive manner. Must be comfortable working around chemicals and adhere to safety policies that are site specific and within industry standards. Must have natural attention to detail and be physically fit to work in an area specific environment and pass annual respirator fit testing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Will work to coordinate and implement all directives in a positive and professional manner for Pour Line Production.

  • Responsible for safely loading, unloading, and transferring chemicals from totes and drums to holding tanks for production.

  • Will monitor valves, gauges, and pumps.

  • Communicate professionally, effectively, and with courtesy with employees, managers, customers, vendors, and other departments.

  • Make sound decisions, anticipate and adapt to changing needs

  • Meet company standards and follow company policies including safety.

  • Perform duties efficiently and in the best interest and long-term success of the company.

  • All materials, equipment procedures, and training associated with this position and department are deemed "Confidential and Proprietary Information. “Misuse or removal from the premises without proper authorization from the Plant Manager may result in termination and liability exposure.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



  • Education/Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • Language Skills: Strong communication skills are required with a good command of the English language and the ability to read, write, and comprehend information, reports, instructions, and correspondence.

  • Mathematical Skill: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. This may include decision making, compiling information, and analyzing information along with the ability to problem solve involving some concrete variable in standardized and emergency situations.

  • The ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English is a necessity.

  • Forklift License (Flexible Foam) - Preferred, but not required

  • Emergency Action/Contingency Plan


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel; or grip objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions. This person may regularly lift and/or move ten to one hundred pounds. Occasionally may move up to 2000 lbs. with the assistance of a flat cart or pallet jack. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus. This position may require the wearing of Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) which will require the employee's face be free of facial hair, this requirement is to ensure appropriate seal of a full-face mask. Eye protection will be worn while on the production floor.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee can be exposed to hazardous chemicals, moving mechanical parts, regularly exposed to noise levels in the work environment which are moderate, and exposed to temperature ranging from moderate to high depending on the time of year and location of the work being done. Uniform provided as you will get dirty in this role.
