Job summary

Carpenter Co. is seeking a Pouring Operator for the 1st shift in the Pouring department at our Fogelsville, PA plant.

The role involves monitoring the process of combining chemicals to produce foam for internal and external customers and requires coordination with the pouring supervisor and manager during pours. Responsibilities include setting up production, cleaning equipment, and maintaining safety through mandatory OSHA ERT training and respirator programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior machine experience is a plus.
• Must pass a pulmonary test annually.
• ERT physical and training for Chemical Spill Team participation.
• Chest X-ray prior to starting work when working with hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Set up for production.
• Take production equipment apart after use.
• Clean troughs and related equipment.
• Make trough hoses.
• Keep platform area clean and organized.
• Monitor paper and plastic during pours and help splice rolls.
• Take trim block to grinding.
• Respirator training; may wear a respirator during production.
• Work with chemicals.
• Work in environments with hot or cold temps depending on season.
