Job summary

Aviagen in Corinth, Mississippi is seeking a hands-on supervisor to lead the vaccination and pullet-move operations. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and a valid driver's license.

You will supervise a crew, ensure correct vaccine administration, manage schedules, maintain biosecurity, and adapt to changing workloads. Willing to work flexible hours and be on call.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with vaccination processes and pullet moves preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to multiple locations per schedule.
• Ability to organize, coordinate, and communicate with a team.
• Flexible hours and on-call availability required.
• Background check per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Work flexible hours and be on call 24/7 when needed.
• Ensure vaccination and move procedures are performed correctly by crew.
• Manage a crew with high efficiency and quality standards.
• Handle vaccines properly during transport and in chicken houses.
• Maintain farm biosecurity for equipment, buildings, and vehicles.
• Complete schedules and service reports.
• Repair vaccination equipment and related tools.
• Conduct blood monitoring and rodent inspections.
• Prioritize health and safety of employees.

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Applicant must have a valid Drivers License and drive the team to different locations per the weekly schedule.
• Learn the processes of the team and work alongside teammates to get the job done.
• Experience in vaccinations and pullet moves
• Must be a good organizer with the ability to work and communicate well with others
• Physical type work is a demand
• Must be able to prepare work schedules and able to adjust to sudden changes in organizing work loads
• Capable of working flexible hours
• Delegate will have a background check performed as stated in the Aviagen Employee Handbook

Job Duties

The following duties will vary according to the needs of the Department. Primary responsibilities include:

• Must be able to work flexible hours and be on call 24 hours/7 days a week.
• Must be able to ensure that all vaccination and move procedures are performed correctly by crew.
• Able to manage a crew with high efficiency and high quality standards.
• Must properly handle vaccine in transport as well as in the chicken houses.
• Ensuring the biosecurity of farms, equipment, area buildings, vehicles, etc. is a major duty.
• Must be able to complete schedules and service reports.
• Must be able to repair vaccination equipment, injection guns, water-vac pumps, etc.
• Must be able to do blood monitoring and rodent inspections involving baiting and checking traps.
• Health & Safety of employees is a major part of job duties.
