Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a dedicated team member for 2nd shift to ensure product quality while maintaining a safe work environment. The role includes monitoring equipment, following Tyson procedures, and quickly addressing any issues that arise on the line.

You will also be responsible for identifying and removing diseased birds and contaminated portions, trimming affected areas, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for the entire shift.
• Lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Must be able to use knife and/or scissors.
• Follow directions and act quickly.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product quality while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Monitor machines as needed and notify Supervisor of any mechanical breakdowns.
• Identify, remove, and discard diseased birds and viscera packages; remove parts due to disease and contamination; remove birds from the line for reprocessing due to defects.
• Trim disease and contamination from the product as necessary.
