Job summary

Elanco is seeking a Quality Control Technician for Animal Care at the Winslow, ME site. You will perform poultry husbandry tasks, support vaccine testing, and maintain welfare standards for birds in a controlled facility.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED; an Associate degree in animal or biological sciences is preferred, and prior poultry care experience is advantageous. The shift runs Tuesday through Saturday from 7am to 3:30pm, with possible weekend/holiday work.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED.
• Associates degree in animal or biological sciences preferred.
• Previous poultry animal care experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead/assist routine procedures involved in testing vaccines and provide care for the animals.
• Maintain cleanliness of animal facilities in regulatory inspection condition at all times, including cleaning and disinfection procedures.
• Provide care for animals, monitor environmental conditions (temperature, feed, water).
• Maintain records per USDA regulations, assist with SOPs, and support animal welfare standards review.
• Assist the site Veterinarian in auditing facilities and procedures to ensure animal wellbeing.
