Job summary

Elanco in Winslow, ME is seeking a Quality Control Technician - Animal Care to provide general poultry husbandry for chickens and turkeys in the stock at the Winslow site. You will support vaccine testing, maintain testing facilities, and ensure animal welfare.

This full-time role shifts Sunday through Thursday, 7am to 3:30pm. Responsibilities include leading procedures, facility cleanliness, record-keeping per USDA, and assistance to the site veterinarian to audit facilities and ensure

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in animal or biological sciences preferred.
• Prior poultry husbandry experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead/assist routine procedures involved in vaccine testing and animal care.
• Maintain cleanliness of animal facilities in regulatory condition; perform minor maintenance and cleaning.
• Provide care for animals and monitor environmental conditions (temp, feed, water).
• Maintain accurate records per USDA regulations and assist with SOPs and animal welfare standards.
