Job summary

Tyson Foods in Waverly, NE is hiring General Labor for 1st shift to support poultry processing operations. The team performs a variety of production and labor tasks with possible rotation across areas to meet production needs.

Positions are full-time, with pay range $15.10–$20.10 per hour plus a bonus up to $3.00/hr; 2nd shift includes a $2.00/hour differential. Regular hours Monday–Friday, with overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Team members must be able to perform duties across multiple production areas.
• Must follow safety, quality, and food safety policies.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and perform repetitive motions in a cold, wet environment.
• Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Tray packing and packaging of poultry products.
• Packaging packer duties including sealing, labeling, boxing.
• Handling and processing inedible materials per standards.
• Debone support functions with knives and cutting tools.
• Wringers, cleaning and sanitizing in the receiving area.
• Wing cutting operations and sorting to FPS standards.
• Distribution tasks: sorting cases, preparing pallets, loading trucks.
• Adhere to food safety, animal welfare, and workplace safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, tools, and equipment.
