Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood is seeking a production-packaging associate to remove products from conveyors, inspect to customer specs, and hand-pack into boxes and bags. You will work under the Processing Manager/Supervisor in a fast-paced environment.

Your duties include ensuring materials are ready, inspecting quality and weights, and labeling cartons while adhering to GMPs and safety protocols. Teamwork and accuracy are essential in this role.

Responsibilities

• Receives packing orders and determines that correct packing materials are available at packing station.
• Notifies material handler if additional materials are needed for the packing run.
• Visually inspects quality, weights and specifications of product, setting aside defective items.
• Monitors machines for operation and safety problems.
• Checks packages for leaks, discoloration and foreign objects inside the package.
• Packs products into designated cartons per customer order specifications.
• Places identification labels on cartons.
• Reports discrepancies to leads or supervisor.
• Follows all GMPs and safety regulations.
• Completes other duties as assigned by management.
