Job summary

Bell and Evans in Fredericksburg, PA is seeking a Flock Supervisor to assist the Breeder Manager in maintaining a high-quality hatching egg supply. This role covers all aspects of rearing pullets and cockerels from day of age to 65 weeks.

You will manage daily duties, complete paperwork, perform vaccinations, monitor weight and feeding, supervise housing and sanitation, and coordinate with contracted growers to ensure production targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.
• Ability to work with poultry handling procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain communication with Breeder Manager on field activities.
• Complete and submit paperwork including service reports and vaccine records.
• Perform NPIP and movement blood tests as scheduled.
• Administer vaccines to flocks and observe vaccination quality.
• Weigh pullets and cockerels and monitor weight goals weekly.
• Supervise housing setup and ensure proper movement from pullet to breeder houses.
• Schedule feed deliveries and manage feeding programs.
