Job summary

Case Farms seeks a field-based poultry specialist to solve grower problems and strengthen producer relations. You will apply current science to maximize farm production and advise on facility and equipment specifications.

You will routinely visit farms, monitor bird health and production metrics, and coordinate with hatchery, feedmill, vaccination crews, and Livehaul to ensure contract compliance and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work with growers to solve problems and establish a productive relationship between producers and Case Farms.

Responsibilities

• Must work with and solve grower problems; establish a good working relationship between producers and the Company.
• Provide current science as directed by the Company to maximize farm production.
• Advise producers regarding building and equipment specifications.
• Advise producers on litter manipulation and farm sanitation.
• Routinely visit farms (frequent travel).
• Document bird comfort, flock management, and equipment settings.
• Direct light and feed schedules.
• Monitor bird health, egg production, body weight, conformation, monitor feed consumption.
• Pull blood and fat samples promptly.
• Coordinate bird placements to farms and assist with catch schedules, while ensuring communication between Hatchery, Feedmill, vaccination crews, and Livehaul regarding contracts.
• Ensure production contracts are followed to achieve high quality flocks at low cost.
• Ensure USDA and other regulations are followed when handling poultry.
• All other duties as assigned.
