Job summary

Aviagen is seeking a Farm Cleanout Supervisor to oversee the thorough cleaning and disinfection of poultry houses, ensuring safety, efficiency, and strict biosecurity adherence to protect flock health and productivity.

The role involves supervising crews, coordinating schedules, training staff, and maintaining records. It is field-based with outdoor work, travel to regional farms, and 24/7 on-call availability for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Basic computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage priorities.
• Commitment to teamwork and meeting production targets.
• Compliance with Biosecurity, Animal Welfare, ISO, and Safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate cleanout crews across multiple farms.
• Schedule daily and weekly work assignments; adjust as needed.
• Train crew members in procedures, safety, and biosecurity.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching.
• Inspect farms to ensure work meets company standards.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Biosecurity, and ISO standards.
• Minimize equipment and property damage through training and accountability.
• Monitor vehicles and equipment for readiness.
• Maintain records, reports, and documentation.
• Be available on-call 24/7 for emergencies.
