Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, label, and stock poultry products according to department standards.
• Keep display cases full, organized, fresh, and visually appealing throughout the day.
• Monitor product quality and freshness and follow proper product rotation practices.
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service, including assisting customers with product questions and selections.
• Maintain clean and organized counters, equipment, prep areas, and workspaces.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and company procedures.
• Assist with daily department setup, preparation, stocking, and closing responsibilities.
• Support inventory awareness by communicating product needs or shortages to department leadership.
• Work cooperatively with other poultry team members and departments throughout the market.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and coworkers.

The Poultry Clerk supports the daily operation of our poultry stand at the New Castle Farmers Market by preparing fresh products, keeping displays stocked and organized, and providing friendly, helpful service to customers. This is a hands-on role that is a great fit for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, staying active, and helping create a positive experience for customers.

Experience is helpful, but we are happy to train the right person who is dependable, willing to learn, and takes pride in doing quality work.

Schedule

• Saturday: 9 am - 6 pm or 12 pm - 8 pm
