Job summary

Pilgrim’s is hiring a chicken catcher in Texas. You will handle birds, ensure welfare, and follow safety rules. The schedule runs 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and put on all required PPE (Safety glasses, safety vest, gloves (optional), arm sleeves (optional)).
• Perform routine stretches before starting daily duties.
• Walk the house (bed the birds).
• Wait for cage to be set on blocks.
• Open cage door.
• Catch correct amount of birds.
• Load birds in cage one hand at a time.
• Repeat process until cage is full.
• After proper amount of birds placed in cage, shut the cage door.
