Qualifications

• Ability to understand oral and written instructions and perform simple tasks.
• Ability to perform repetitive work.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to grip, grasp, or twist using hands and wrists.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend and stoop during the shift.
• Animal husbandry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team
• Work with day old chicks
• Collect birds for moving, weighing, and vaccinations
• Work with live animals and the associated environment
• Collect blood samples, band/tag or remove tags from birds
• Follow Animal Care Standards, Animal Welfare Guidelines, and Bio‑Security policies and procedures
• Work with chemicals such as detergents and disinfectants
• Perform essential duties in a safe and efficient manner
• Be able to work around farm related smells or odors and in a loud/noisy environment
• Work up to 6 days a week, including weekends and holidays
