Job summary

The Pouch Assistant (PA) position at ePac Flexible Packaging is the first step to launching your career in our growing flexible packaging operation. This role works with the Pouch Operator to convert high quality pouches and support the setup and operation of pouch machines.

This is a hands-on opportunity in a 2nd shift role, with a clear path toward becoming a Pouch Operator. The PA will perform various manual and mechanical duties and actively contribute to production efficiency and quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to coordinate and dexterously use hand tools and cleaning equipment.
• Safely operate around moving machinery and follow SOPs.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pouch Operator with Pouch Machine setup and operation.
• Correctly set up and run machines to balance quality and run speed.
• Follow work orders and SOPs as instructed.
• Maintain quality control check sheets, production and waste reports.
• Inform Operator of any defective material or safety issues.
• Prepare equipment and packaging materials for production schedules.
• Clean and maintain equipment for next production run.
