HCLTech is seeking a Battery Fabrication Engineer to advance pouch cell manufacturing on a lab-scale pilot line in Mountain View, onsite. You will contribute to slurry preparation, coating, calendaring, stacking, and electrolyte filling while maintaining strict safety and documentation standards.

The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and 1+ years of hands-on lab experience with lithium-ion processes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to troubleshoot process issues with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering/science field.
• 1+ years of practical experience operating lab-scale pilot line equipment for pouch cell fabrication.
• Hands-on lab/dry room experience handling battery materials and assembly tools.
• Direct experience or coursework in lithium-ion cell manufacturing processes.
• Strong documentation and lab safety/hazardous materials handling adherence.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end pouch cell fabrication on a lab-scale pilot line.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain pilot line equipment and cleanrooms.
• Execute DOEs to optimize CPPs for yield and energy density.
• Perform in-line quality inspections and log fabrication metrics.
• Troubleshoot fabrication defects and implement corrective actions with senior engineers.
