Job summary

Qualifications

• Familiarity with the potato dehydration process helpful.
• Must be able to closely follow operational instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Move potatoes from raw receiving to raw sort area using water and a shovel.
• Run peel loss tests for peelers during shifts.
• Relieve Raw Sort personnel for breaks and lunches as needed.
• Keep bays, flumes, raw sort and waste plant areas clean and free of debris.
• Set conveyor speeds to maintain uninterrupted flow to the Peeler.
• Monitor pump pits and holding tanks, manage mud and pumping as required.
• Report problems to Shift Manager immediately.
• Maintain safety by keeping hoses hung and hazards away from floor.
• Follow safety policies and good manufacturing practices.
