Job summary

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Postpartum unit. The RN provides competent nursing care using the nursing process, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to support mothers and newborns.

Qualified candidates will have a nursing degree/diploma, an active RN license, BLS within 90 days, and 1 year of RN experience (2 years postpartum preferred).

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Registered nursing License (Required).
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year RN experience required; 2 years postpartum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process in postpartum patients.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team and support patient education.
• Monitor, document, and respond to mothers' and newborns' needs.
