Job summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy in Omaha. You will deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care within an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced, level I trauma center environment.

We offer a sign-on bonus up to $6,000 and student loan repayment up to $10,000 for eligible new hires, with competitive pay of $36.00–$52.20 per hour, depending on experience and shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN nursing program and licensed upon hire.
• Licensed RN in NE required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate.
• Document all phases of the nursing process in the patient record.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including physical, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Coordinate care, provide education and discharge planning.
• Evaluate progress and revise plans as needed with the team.

• Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
• Assessment - Demonstrates a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze the following healthcare consumer data including: psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors
• Plan - Sets measurable and achievable short and long term goals according to standards of care based on the assessment by the nurse in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team.
• Implement - Implements and/or modifies the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based upon standards of care and evidence based practice. This includes care coordination, education and discharge planning. The nurse is accountable for the care directly, indirectly or through delegation. Professional and legal standards for delegation must be followed.
• Evaluate - Uses a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals. Revision of plan of care when needed involving the healthcare consumer and the multidisciplinary team.
• Documents all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer’s record.

We are offering up to $6,000 Sign on Bonus and up to $10,000 in student loan repayment assistance to new hires who meet the following eligibility requirements.

Pay Range

$36.00 - $52.20 /hour
